PMI UK Regional Synergies 2019
This year marks the 50th birthday of the PMI and we are expanding the celebration from Synergy in London on 7th November to include a number of regional synergies around the country throughout the month of November. The Synergy values will be brought to four venues in the North of the UK in the form of evening conferences.
The organising teams for each of the events are in place and already working hard to bring these events to life with some great speakers who are leading thinking across the profession. We will also be celebrating our links with Enactus UK as we invite four successful teams from around the country to share their journey with us.
Synergy is the premier UK Project Management conference of the year. Since its launch in 2011, Synergy's central values have been, and still are: inclusivity, affordability and fun! Delivered almost entirely by volunteers, we aren't about making a profit. Instead, we aim to host an event that offers a fantastic mix of education, entertainment and networking. Attended by delegates from all areas of the project management community, Synergy is a true celebration of the project management profession.
This year, our regional Synergy events will be held in Dundee, Leeds, Sunderland and Belfast. Click on one of the event venue logos to find out more about the fantastic speakers and other attractions on offer at each event.
Synergy 2019 Theme: VUCA
The term VUCA stands for Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous. It was originally used as a military term and was applied to the geopolitical landscape that resulted from the end of the Cold War at the end of the 1980s.
Since then, the term has been used in business and organisational contexts to reflect the ever changing and often unpredictable nature of the modern world. As project managers, we need to learn how to deal VUCA situations and develop strategies to make our projects successful in scenarios that are far from plain sailing.
Our regional Synergy 2019 event speakers have all been carefully selected to offer attendees valuable tips, insights and advice on how to deal with all kinds of VUCA type projects more successfully and navigate the choppy waters of planning, delivery and hand off with agility, control and confidence.
